Kwame Boateng
3D Print Lead & Fabrication Mentor
Mechanical engineer who teaches 3D printing, fabrication and robotics to students aged 13 and up.
about
Kwame trained as a mechanical engineer and spent five years at a medical device company, designing 3D-printed prosthetic hands. At CircuitKids he teaches in three of our programmes, from design to robotics.
Outside class he volunteers with a group that prints low-cost prosthetic hands for children, and some of his students have helped assemble them.
I tell every group the same thing: the printer is slow, so plan before you press print.
