Coding & Logic
Unplugged Logic
Coding ideas like loops and conditions taught through games and hands-on activities, without screens.
LEVEL
DURATION
AGES

Unplugged Logic teaches the ideas behind coding without a single screen. Children learn loops, conditions and debugging through games, cards, tape and floor tiles.
What your child will learn
How to give clear, step-by-step instructions
What loops and conditions are, and when to use them
How to find a mistake in a set of instructions and fix it
How to explain their thinking to a partner
How a class runs
Every class is built around one game. Children play it, then change the rules, then write instructions for someone else to follow. There is no keyboard in the room.
Week by week
Weeks 1–2. Instructions and sequences.
Weeks 3–4. Loops and patterns.
Weeks 5–6. Conditions, debugging and a game children design themselves.
Before you start
No experience is needed. This is a beginner class, and most children in the group are trying this for the first time.
What they take home
The game their group designed, printed on cards so they can play it at home.
