Python for Kids is where children move from blocks to typed code. They learn Python step by step, from drawing shapes to writing small games and useful scripts.
What your child will learn
How to write, run and fix short Python programs
How to use variables, loops, conditions and functions
How to draw with code using Turtle graphics
How to break a bigger problem into small steps
How a class runs
Students use real tools from the first week. Each class has a short explanation, then practice at their own laptop, and ends with a small challenge to solve alone or in pairs.
Week by week
Weeks 1–3. First programs and drawing with Turtle.
Weeks 4–6. Loops, conditions and dice games.
Weeks 7–9. Functions and a script that sorts files.
Weeks 10–12. A project each student chooses, shown in the last class.
Before you start
This is an intermediate class. It suits children who have finished Scratch Coding or another beginner class, or who already build with kits at home. No coding experience is needed.
What they take home
All their programs from the term, and a final project they can keep improving at home.
